What the app asks for
No account, payment, name, email, photo, postcode or precise device location is required to view the maps. The app does not request GPS access. Panning a map does not tell us where you live. There is no advertising, session recording or analytics script in the supplied application code.
What your browser remembers
The app saves your chosen reading measure (one-hour PM2.5 or 24-hour PSI) in localStorage under hw-metric. This preference stays in that browser until you clear it; it is not sent to a data provider as a profile. Current data and display state are held in memory while the page is open. Browser and hosting caches may temporarily retain public data/assets.
Hosting and network information
Cloudflare hosts the site and its data adapters. Like other hosting providers, it processes technical request information such as IP address, requested URL, time, browser headers and security/error information to deliver and protect the site. Infrastructure may process information outside Singapore. The supplied code does not create a visitor database, but this does not mean that no network information is processed.
Cloudflare security features may use necessary cookies when enabled. The app itself does not set advertising or tracking cookies. We have not verified all account-level hosting/security settings or a custom log-retention period. Provider processing and retention are governed by the applicable Cloudflare privacy policy and the operator’s hosting configuration.
Data providers and outside links
The browser requests public readings and model data through this site’s Cloudflare adapters. Those adapters contact NEA/data.gov.sg, NASA FIRMS and Open-Meteo using fixed public datasets and model sample grids. They do not forward your precise location or browser IP headers to those data APIs. The font and map geometry are served from this site; the updated code does not load Google Fonts or third-party street-map tiles.
Following an outside link opens another provider’s site, whose own privacy practices apply. The Sources page identifies the datasets and terms. We do not sell personal data or use the supplied code for cross-site advertising.
Contact and choices
You can clear the saved reading preference above or clear this site’s browser data. For questions, access/correction requests or privacy concerns about information the operator actually holds, contact the public privacy contact once supplied. Please do not send medical records, identity documents or other sensitive material. If you choose to email the operator, your email address and message will be used to handle that request and retained only as needed for that purpose and applicable legal requirements.
We will update this notice when the app’s data practices change. Adding accounts, analytics, forms, notifications or advertising requires a fresh review; none is introduced by this update.
