HazeWatch SEA is a free independent prototype providing public air-quality readings, recent satellite thermal detections and modelled surface-wind context. Operator: not yet supplied. Contact: not yet supplied.

Use the information in context

The five NEA circles represent reporting regions, not street-level measurements. One-hour PM2.5 is a concentration; 24-hour PSI is a different composite index. The chart shows recorded readings and leaves missing hours as gaps. The current PSI is not a forecast.

NASA hotspots are dated thermal detections. They are not a count of unique forest fires or proof that a fire is still burning. Clouds, overpasses and other heat sources affect coverage. Major-area FRP shares rank recorded heat detections; neither those shares nor an upwind surface-wind sector establish which fires caused Singapore’s haze. Flickering dots are decorative, not changing observations.

Wind trails show interpolated model vectors at 10 m with accelerated visual speed. They are not observed smoke or a validated transport forecast. Data is unavailable outside its source coverage. Map outlines and labels are illustrative.

Health and important decisions

Guidance is a plain-language summary, not personal medical advice or an official warning. Consult NEA’s current advisories, the relevant authorities and a qualified professional when appropriate. Do not rely on this prototype alone for emergency, medical, occupational, travel or other safety-critical decisions.

Availability and accuracy

Sources can be delayed, incomplete, corrected or unavailable. Check displayed observation and retrieval times. We do not promise uninterrupted service, complete regional fire coverage or a particular forecast/health outcome. The site may change or be withdrawn. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is supplied without guarantees of completeness, accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing here excludes liability or rights that the law does not allow to be excluded.

Responsible use and source rights

You may use the site for information and share links. Do not misuse or overload its endpoints, attempt unauthorised access, remove source notices or imply that public agencies endorse the app. The Sources and licences page explains third-party rights. These terms do not replace those licences or grant ownership of third-party datasets. No open-source licence for the app code is implied.

HazeWatch SEA is not affiliated with or endorsed by NEA, data.gov.sg, NASA, NOAA, Open-Meteo or Cloudflare. The current hosted Open-Meteo service is used on its non-commercial basis; no subscription, advertisement or paid integration is offered in this version.

Privacy, changes and questions

See the Privacy notice. Material changes will be reflected in the date on these pages. Questions or corrections can be sent to the operator’s public contact once supplied. These pages explain the service and are not a certification of legal compliance.
